Powerstar Golf: Clicking A on controller when putting problem

I've played many hours with no issues with powerstar golf until this week. Whenever I, or computer opponent, is on green and putting the 'A' button doesn't start the hit/power bar. Instead it just makes a clicking noise, the 'A' button on the screen lights
up, and it is registered, but it takes several tries hitting 'A' to get the bar moving. Very frustrating. Anyone else hitting this or have a solution?

its called powerstar golf BTW... and yeah.. very good game... worth the $20.. seems cartoony but trust me.. plays like any major title golf game (except the power ups LOL) and putting will make you rage...

Worst yet , in versus mode my opponent also has the clicking issue, when on the green. However the more I play the longer it takes the computer component to putt.

Wow, this isn't fixed yet? I'm pretty sure this is a memory leak. It goes away if you power down the xbox by holding the power button for a few seconds. This will clear out the memory. That is the only way I have found to fix it. You might also be able to
launch a few other programs to get the game out of memory. I found no way to fix the issue while playing the game. I'm wondering if others aren't complaining about this since if the game clears out from memory from time to time this won't happen.
