POwershot Graphics?

I have just bought an Xbox One and am pretty disappointed at the graphics quality mainly on PowerStar Golf (this is the only game I have bought so far). I have set the graphics to HDMI 1080p and tried two different TV’s, both full HD and both give the
same blocky appearance. When used with my Widows 8 PC the image is high res (2560 x 1440) and pin sharp so I know it’s not the TV/monitor. Is there any why to improve this or is this due to the 1080 resolution which is? Cheers John

It might help if you post a screenshot or video so we can see the problem. Have you tried setting the output to 720p (I know this sounds odd but it disables the Xbox ones upscaling software)

Also worth remembering that PowerStar Golf isn't a graphical tour de force by any means, they went with a very specific graphical style, think Pixar crossed with 50's americana.

 

Thanks for the feedback WildZeo but it looks even worse at 720. Have installed Forza 5 and am quite impressed with the graphics on that. A shame the graphics are so poor on PowerStar golf as I love golf Sims and these is currently very little around for
the PC or Xbox one. Doubt we will get anything from EA Sports as they have now split with Tiger Woods.

 

WildZeo is correct. Powerforce wasn't designed to be a showcase for the console's capabilities. It's just a "silly" type of golf game. I personally love it, but it certainly isn't even in the same ball-game as Forza. Just play it and enjoy it, and definitely
don't look at it as a sim. It's far from it. Maybe we could get together and play sometime, I really enjoy the game. It's quirky and fun and a welcome break from the big-name games that require much more involvement.

 

Must admit am starting to get into it, just unlocked Burning Sands which is fun to play. Friend request sent.

 

I would be interested in you describing what, specifically, you have an issue with visually. The game while not a graphics showcase is in no way blocky and has some rather nice lighting and details in the specific courses. What are you comparing it to that
you think it looks poor?
