Powering on my xbox one

it's very difficult to tell what could have caused something like this, could be the console or power related.

Could also be caused by a cache related thing, when the console is set to Instant-On.

Something you can do is to double check if all cables are connected properly and hopefully it's only a one time occurrence.

If it doesn't happen every time or often then I woudln't worry about it.

My xbox one power cord does not have a power brick. And yes, i get a notification that my xbox one cache is full

That's normal. It happens t me and my brothers console. When you unplug it stays orange for 10/seconds then no light. Then when pluged back in it goes white and sounds like fan coming on for like 5 seconds then back to orange.

It could be down to the update, I don't think you have a major problem, You mention when you plug in the power supply it does take 10 seconds for the safety cut out switch to activate, As long as they are not flashing you should be alright, Yours is the
first I have seen with this I will have a look around see if I can find some info on this.

I would also make sure you have the plug right in an outlet and not a surge protector
