PowerGIG is not seeing the sixstring

I can't PowerGiG on my Xbox 360. I've read 3 other threads where people have stated because of an update performed on the xbox the game is no longer seeing the guitar. For that reason " power chord mode" cannot be opened. Microsoft stated that the developer
is to address the issue but they are not responding.

I have some questions

If I remove my HD does it go back to factory?

Can the xbox rollback updates?

Can I reset the xbox?

PowerGig: Rise Of the SixString problem with SixString controller.

While loading up the game PowerGig: Rise of the SixString with the SixString guitar controller that came with my band bundle, the software told me I wasn't using a PowerGig guitar controller (I was) and that Power Chord mode (among other things) was disabled.
I'm trying to get the achievement that specifically requires Power Chord mode, so that being disabled is a pain. I wouldn't have a problem with it being disabled if I was actually not using the guitar that came with it, but I am. Is there any guidance on
how to correct this, or am I just no longer able to get that 100G achievement due to some strange glitch?

I have used this very guitar in the past and been able to use Power Chord mode, so it's not like it never worked.

I'm having this same problem. It's terribly disappointing to see this posting from 2012 with no response.

Update ...

I am going to try the midi pro adapter from rockband

Hey there atari,

I'm really sorry to hear about the issues you're having with your guitar not being recognized by the game.

We've done some digging into this issue and here's what we've been able to determine:

We gave the Seven45 Studios a ring just last week to look into this issue for another user. They said that the guitars are not compatible with more recent upgrades of PS3 and Xbox consoles.

Seven45 Studios has not gone out of business, but it does seem they have gone through a substantial change in culture, and are now focused on developing for iOS. As it stands, I would suggest reaching out to them via the
email provided in their Contact Us page, as it is still their product. Be aware the number on the right is out of service but the number on the left still works.

That being said, I'm sorry to say that there isn't much we can do here. It's up to the developer of a game to make sure that their peripherals and accessories are up to date and able to function with the latest console updates, etc. I can completely
understand how this is a frustrating situation and if we had a fix for it I would definitely give it to you.

hi, since you have this problem? maybe last dashboard 2.0.16? because i have same problem here, WARNING, your are not using a SixString Guitar Controller, and cant use Power Chords and some stuff.
