Power supply red light - no solution listed

The above poster is referancing Modding your console if you wish to repair and keep your console in working in factory conditions you have no worries of trying a repair yourself.

That being said it is most likely your power supply that is damaged I would barrow a friends and test it first.

test their power supply on your unit not yours on their's.

If the console is damaged it would most likely be in the power supply region, likely a diode.

Xbox 360 Slim Problem

Where did you buy the power unit from?.

If you do not get any other suggestions it might be an idea to phone MS support for your region.

This is just speculation on my part but was your console switched on when this happened?, if the surge was enough to fry your power unit there is a chance it may have damaged some components inside the console.

Hopefully that is not the case though.

Disagree to the below answer. Its not correct to go with the US version of it.. In case if you have a UK address, you should order for UK One.

There are 2 options for this.

Go to https://myservice.xbox.com/ (Select UK or EU region)

Either you have to ship your power brick back to the respective countries and they send the replacement.

You can pay 30 pounds, and get a new one.

Hey, no the power brick was well ventilated and on a desk, seems the xboxone itself has died. Did a live chat with support and they are sending me a new unit. It is apparently a known fault. I haven't seen anybody else with it online tho.

So to make sure, I should buy a new power supply unit for the Xbox that was made for European outlets ? And plugging one of those European psu won't damage my console either ?
