    Power surge damaged xbox one


    Hi, I wonder if you could help me?

    A couple of months ago I tripped the circuit breaker on the ring main of which my xbox was plugged into. This must of caused a power surge i thank. But after that my xbox has been running very slow and is unable to connect with anything? I wonder if the
    surge has damaged the processor at all?

    I would go to Settings, System, Console info and last Console Reset, pick option to KEEP ALL GAMES AND APPS, now console will restart, after the restart, do the Set Up and now test

    I have already tried this but it hasn't fixed the slowness of the xbox. The xbox starts up OK, its just connecting to apps and lagging really bad.

    Hello,

    The Xbox One power supply has built-in surge protection to protect your console from power surges. You must reset the power supply if you experience a power surge. Here’s how:

    1) Unplug the cables from the console, wall outlet, and power supply itself.

    2) Wait 10 seconds.

    Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step lets the power supply reset. Make sure you unplug the power supply unit from both the wall and your Xbox One console.

    3) Firmly plug the power cable back into the console, and then plug the power cable back into the electrical outlet and the power supply. Connect the power supply directly into a wall outlet. Do not use any surge protectors or extension cords, because they
    can affect the performance of your power supply.

    4) Turn on the console and check the light on the power supply.
