Power supply won't work properly?

I have a xbox 360 E with 250 GB and I've been noticing since weeks that the power supply may not be working properly for instance:Whenever I turn my xbox off,the green light on the power supply delays in turning orange,while at random times it turns
orange immediately,but most of the time it delays in turning orange.

is this normal?

is it the power supply or the console?

any help or opinion will be really helpful,thanks in advance.

and I forgot to say that the center of the power button keeps flashing after turning off the console and it stops flashing until the green light on the power supply turns orange.

I don't know what to do given the fact that the xbox is out of warranty and it's been 2 years since I bought it.

Hello everyone!

yes, you will need a US power supply.

Netherlands has a 220/230V power network and the US has a 110V power network.

So bringing your Dutch power supply won't work.

Power supply

xbox one won't turn on won't even make a sound. Orange blinking light on power supply. I've tried changing to different outlets and it didn't work. I don't have any thing plugged into my console besides the power supply and HDMI. Nothing is working.

Hi there!

Do you have background downloads enabled on your console? This will cause the shutdown time to increase as the console will not fully shut down if it is downloading updates/games/DLC etc. Sometimes it is a little slow to fully power off because it just simply
needs to finish what it's doing, even if you do not have anything downloading.

I can't clarify the power supply question, but if the power supply seems to be working properly then the issue must be in the xbox itself

Actually a solid orange light on the power supply means it is working properly and is in standby. It sounds like there is some internal damage to the console that needs repair in order to work properly.

If the power supply light is flashing orange though, try plugging it into a different outlet.

I would also check to make sure your power supply is working properly (assuming you have an external power supply). Sometimes a damaged power supply can cause power issues, particularly if the system is attempting to draw more power to run a game.

Hi, to me it sound like the power supply might have gone, and even though it feels cold on the outside of the casing, theirs no guarantee that it won't be sparking inside, which might have caused a power problem. my suggestion would be first to test the
fuse, sometimes they can stop working properly, second, try switching power sockets, or if you run it through a multiport, plug it straight into a power outlet on its own and see if that helps, if it doesn't, try going through this page:

If that doesn't work, try borrowing a power supply from a friend, and if that works fine, then you will probably have to buy a new one.

I would suggest getting your xbox cleaned for dust, if that doesn't work, i would suggest getting he power supply or fan looked at. If the system fan isnt working or the dust build up is too great, there is a chance the xbox won't turn on properly. If
the power supply is suffering, their could be a similar effect. But the safest, fast, and cost effective route is getting your xbox cleaned for dust, due to the fact that your xbox may just need a cleaning but if that's not the problem, i would move on to
the fan, and the last option would be the power supply.
