    Power Supply Problem


    I recently purchased a refurbished Xbox One S from Gamestop. The power cord included with the console does not have an AC adapter brick as part of it's makeup. When I turn the unit on, it beeps then the light comes on for a few seconds then turns off
    again. I've tried unplugging it from the console for ten seconds and reconnecting it but the problem persists. Before returning it i thought I'd see if I need to simply replace the cord with the proper one. Ideas? Thanks

    Adding to what xKamiCosby said if the power supply is fried then Microsoft will replace it if your warranty is still valid.

    I would say that the problem is related to the power supply itself. Canada runs on completely different voltage and it may be causing the issue. You will probably need an adapter, or just a new power supply. Let me know what you find out, sounds interesting.

    Hello

    Your power supply should not be making any noise at all!! So if it is I strongly recommend contacting technical support.

    Also the loudest noise your Xbox should make is when the disc spins round to load a game, other than that it should have a low unnoticeable hum to it.
