Power Supply makes a loud buzzing sound

My power supply recently started making a very loud buzzing noise. If I unplug it, wait, and plug it back in, the noise goes away, but then it always comes back later. Is there a way to get it fixed or replaced?

Buzzing power supply

Hi,

The power supply emits a constant buzzing sound. It's not very loud but it's constant and irritating. Is this normal or something to worry about?

System is very noisy when in standby

It really depends how loud you are saying it is. When in Instant On (standby mode, power light is white), it does make a faint humming/buzzing sound, as does the power supply, but it's barely audible unless you've got your ear quite close to it. If that's
the level of noise you have, there's nothing to worry about.

I hear a loud buzzing noise too, yet it is not coming from the Xbox 360. I thought it was, but it was not. It is coming from the power supply.

I'll get the occasional freeze on the One and the X and they both make a loud buzzing sound when they freeze.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately cleaning the power supply didn't help. The fan still continues to make a loud sound. I went ahead and ordered another power supply since I really didn't have a choice. Hopefully the next one is more durable.
