Discus and support Power Supply Issue... Or Something? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; So this is odd was playing a bit of Dark Souls 3 but then went to play a bit of Battlefield when the Xbox shut off.     Power Supply Issue... Or Something?


    So this is odd was playing a bit of Dark Souls 3 but then went to play a bit of Battlefield when the Xbox shut off. So I being the least tech savvy person around naturally went to the internet for aid. The first result was suggesting that the power supply
    needed to reset. so I unplugged the cord from both sides for 10 seconds. This however failed to fixed the issue. And so here I am seeking even more aid from the fine people of this forum for help. Thanks

    Solid Red Light on Console

    A red or amber light on a power supply is a power supply issue, a red light on a console is not a power supply issue.

    Power supply issue or console issue

    PLEASE REPLY ANYTHING WILL HELP

    i replaced my power supply on xbox one because my last one was flashing and xbox would not power on and now when i plug in the new power supply to my console it turns white for 3 seconds then turns orange for 3 seconds and repeats this about 3 times and
    finally just stays orange and while its switching between white and orange it only makes the power on sound when i touch the start up button but no light on console and wont turn on and when the power supply is finally just orange it will turn on for 3-5 seconds
    and automatically shut down ive tried everything will someone please help

    It could be your console is overheating.

    Make sure it's in a well ventilated place

    Well its been off for a few hours now. But it still wont turn on so got any more help?

    Thanks for your post. Use this guide: Xbox One Power Supply Solution to troubleshoot your Xbox One's power supply. If the power supply is
    making a noise it could be an internal fan that could have something lodged in it or ringing from one of the power supply's capacitors. If this issue persists or gets worse, the power supply may need replacement.

    Sounds like the power supply is burnt out and may need to be replaced.
