What kind of noise? The power supply has an internal fan that you will be able to hear as it gets warm. For noise free operation, we recommend placing the power supply in an area with adequate air flow.

Sorry you're having issues with your Xbox powering off. If your power supply is making a strange noise, and is not staying powered on, then yes that could very well be the issue. Try blowing some air into the power supply to see if that fixes the noise
issue, or if it fixes your issue over all playing games. If it does not, and the power supply still makes noise, you likely need a new power supply anyways, so I would start there with fixing this issue. You can request a new power supply by going to the link

I've replaced my power supply for my original Xbox One two times... similar issues to what you're describing. It took a full unplug.. I even unplugged the cable from the wall and from the brick. The brick was always very warm when I did this.. I believe
the brick itself was overheating, which is why I replaced it.

Sorry you're having issues with your power supply. Like MS said with something like that if you cannot blow the power supply out with an air duster and it be silent it's probably a bad fan an needs to be replace. The 50.00 if probably because your Xbox is
not in warranty, and they're going to send you a new Power Supply. I can't say for sure this is what it was, but that sounds like it. Also if it's working ok, it may be fine, and it may be fine for a long time before needing replacement, but if the fan does
go out, the power supply will heat up and just stop working. So it sounds like you have two choices, either A call MS verify the 50.00 was for the power supply, and then pay it and get a new power supply. Or, B. Keep using it, and just keep in mind it's going
to be noisy until it goes out, or you buy another one.

This isn't normal. If your console is still under warranty then your power supply should be under warranty as your power supply warranty is the same as your console warranty. Just go to
http://myservice.xbox.com , register your console if it isn't already, then replace an Accessory, and select power supply. If it wants you to purchase it, click on the "Disagree with warranty status?"
link, then select "Start a Chat", and have
this reference (Solution 8) handy that specifically states your console/power supply warranty are the same. So this should be covered.
