Power supply failure to X box 1 S Console

Hi,

my X box 1 S console suddenly stopped working. ]It is receiving no power. I have tried changing wall sockets, power leads, plug fuses and have also changed the internal power supply unit. It still receives no power, has no light and makes no noise. Any ideas
please??

I have bought an used xbox 360 S from japan. It's power supply input is required 100 v-127 v and 50/60 Hz. But in my country 220 V 50 Hz. Then I bought step down transformer 220 v 50 Hz to 100 V, 20 W . Now, when I have connected my x box power supply
unit with this step down transformer 220 v 50 Hz to 100 V, 20 W, x box power supply orange lights (stand by) glows. When I push power of x box, it turns to green ( good power) lights and x box system switched on. But within 3 sec, x box console shuts down
and power supply box turn to red light. I don't understand why my xbox console is not operating with this converted power supply.

This could be more than just a power supply failure - since you got water on the motherboard.

Here's all you can try before getting a repair (~135 USD out of warranty) or a new one:

Reset the power supply if it had a surge protection trip by unplugging the console from the wall (and the power supply from the wall, if you have a power brick) for 10 seconds and plug the console in first and then into the wall and boot up again. If that
does not fix it you will need a repair.

Thanks for your post. Did the power supply stop working abruptly at all? Did you notice any differences before it eventually stopped turning on? Try using this troubleshooter:

thanks for the reply. I shut the console down one evening in the correct manner. Tried to turn it on again the following day and no power. tried everything as detailed in my original post and nothing has worked. There were no previous issues with the console
prior to this. i have checked the serial number against the warranty and it is out of date. I have tried to create a service order online, however, when i get to step 4 it will not allow me to enter card details. Any further suggestions please? Many thanks

Sorry to hear about the issue, I know it can be frustrating. Being you unable to get past step 4 you can request a call back and a support agent can go through the repair set up with you.
When you go to
Contact Us to get it to request a callback follow these steps:

• Step 1 ----select Xbox One
• Step 2 ----select no thanks
• Step 3-----select games
• Step 4 ----select request a call from support

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you.

In your original post you have mentioned "and have also changed the internal power supply unit" can you please confirm if you have disassembled your Xbox One S console? If you have disassembled your console then I
don't think you will still be able to return your console to Microsoft for it to be repaired

 

If you have opened the console and changed internal parts Microsoft will not service your console. If you send it to them they will return it
