Power supply extension

Is there such a thing as official extension for the Xbox One power supply?

I've had issues with the Xbox One dropping connection to my external hard drive, which I believe is due to the fact the console's power supply was on a mains extender. The problem seems to have stopped since I connected the console directly to the wall
outlet, however this is not ideal given my current equipment setup, and the next nearest outlet is too far away for the power supply cable to reach.

I've looked on xbox.com and Google but couldn't find anything official.

Xbox 360 turns off automatically

Do you use a surge protector or power extension lead at all ? If so try connecting the Xbox power supply directly to the mains power outlet, It could be that the surge protector or extension lead is dropping power which would cause the Xbox to power off.

 

Xbox One Won't start Up

By battery pack am I right in thinking you're talking about the power supply unit (power brick)? If so are you drawing power directly from a main socket or from an extension lead? If extension lead please try plugging it directly into a wall socket.

 

Sorry to hear it. There is no official extender for the power cord of the console. However, the Xbox One console has a built in surge protector so it does not need to be plugged into other devices. You can plug it directly in to a wall socket or use an
extension cord to reach the wall.
