How can I purchase a new power supply for XBox 360?

My power supply "brick" has apparently gone bad. When I turn on the console, the brick starts to get hot, the red light comes on and then turns the console off. I do not want to purchase some generic power supply that probably will not last very long.
I would rather purchase a genuine Microsoft XBox power supply (the newer slim power brick). Any ideas where I would go to do that? Thanks!

  3. Xbox turns off after playing game for few min but not overheating or a overheating warning

    Hi FATTYARBUCKLE13,

The console could have issues with the power brick going bad. It is because during gameplay the console tends to use up more power which it is struggling to get from the supply unit.

Since this console has a power brick, try checking out this link:
    Xbox One Power Supply Solution

One way to test if the console is going bad is by simply trying another power supply unit/power cable. (It helps to just borrow one from a friend or family member). If not, just give the link above a try. It has a way of troubleshooting to find out if it
is the console or the power brick that is going bad.

I hope this helps Power supply bad; won't turn on. Reset... bad power brick :)

Guess what XBox One users..... there is NO power supply available thru Microsoft. They no longer a replacement power supply. They checked stock twice, and the final response is: they DO NOT support this 'old device'.

This is the phone response today, when we called the 1.800 'service center' in Jamaica. They simply want XB-1 users to buy the new consoles.

Xbox 360 not working, please, please advise!!

Alright you need to eliminate what could be the probably cause of the issue. If you have a friend with a Older 360 model ask if he can use the power supply on his/her system to see if its actually the power supply itself. If that 360 won't turn on then its
a bad power brick. You can also try their power brick (as long as its the older systems) on your system to see if it will turn on.

If that doesn't work it might be the system itself. Is there anything that appears on the Xbox including any Rings or Red lights of any kind?

    My xbox keeps shutting off

Your Xbox One console may unexpectedly turn off under the following circumstances:

    The console is too hot.

There's a problem with the power supply.

    Reset your internal power supply

The Xbox One S and Xbox One X have an internal power supply that works in all regions worldwide. If your console won't turn on, it may simply need a power reset. Often, power issues are due to the power supply resetting after a power surge.

To reset the internal power supply, follow these steps:

Unplug the power cord from the console.

    Wait 10 seconds.

Plug the cord back into the console, and then press the Xbox button on the front of the console.

or perhaps your power supply is clogged and overheating...
