Power settings and unplugging the console

    Hi there,

since the Xbox One has two different power settings (instant on and power saving mode), I'd like to know whether is it safe to unplug the console while instant on is active. If not, I want to know which steps I have to follow to safely unplug the Xbox One
    from the mains.

    Thanks in advance

    :)

  2. Halo 5 installation stopped

Did you try hard setting your Xbox? (Holding the power button until the console shuts off and unplugging the power cord for 5 minutes) you could also try uninstalling the game and reinstalling it.

    Humming/Grinding sound with discs

    1. Make sure your console is plugged into an outlet, NOT power surge or power protector.

    2. Settings >disc and blue ray > blue ray > persistent storage > clear persistent storage.

    3. Settings > power and start up > turn off or restart > restart now

    4. Repeat step 2

    5. Power cycle the console by holding the power button for 10 seconds, and unplugging the console from the wall for 30 seconds.

Power settings and unplugging the console

May one ask, what's the reason to unplug the power cable from your console?

I just feel it's more safe to disconnect all the appliances I have in my room... just in case. You see, the consume very little power while in stand by, but they still use power. I just switch the multisocket off.

    Hi

the Xbox One can be left in instant on mode without any issues however if you intend to disconnect the product when not in use I would personally set the console to power save mode.

Then there's no reason for you to have your console's power mode set to Instant-On. If you haven't already, switch to energy-saving mode instead and thereby, your contrubution to a better planet Power settings and unplugging the console :)

Is it okay to unplug your Xbox Series X after every time you play?

Is there any reason you unplug the power cable? Or are you unplugging the wired ethernet cable.

Unplugging the power cable is ok as long as you allow the console to shutdown prior to disconnecting the console from power. It would be better if you set the console to Energy save mode instead of disconnecting the power cable at all.
