    Power Saver Shutting System Off HELP?


    I am trying to load a game (Ryse) and it requires an update to start the game. When I start the update, the update is so long that the Xbox one shuts off before it completes.. The rate it is updating its going to take a while to finish (probably all night),
    what setting can I change in the xbox so the system doesn't shut off?

    Are you shutting off power to the power brick on the console (energy saver power strip, unplugging it from the wall, etc)? Do you sign into Live when booting up the console?

    mine just started shutting off today but i don't get a overheated message the power brick is hot but my system is only 3 months old any suggestions?

    anyone notices the surface remains warm even after turining off?

    In Instant On mode, the console is just in a low power state when "off". You have to put it in Energy Saver mode to shut down completely.

    Is your console in instant on or power saver mode. Switch it to the one it's not set to and hold the power button on the front of the console until it shuts off. After it shuts off unplug the power brick from the console and the outlet for a minute press
    the power button the console 3 times after a minute plug everything back in and power back on and see if the issue is resolved.

    Wow, surprised u didn't get it yet. You could try turning off in power saver mode, give it a minute, then start up and power down again with instant on. I've had mine on power saver and just powered on then shut down on instant on. It downloaded while off.
    U can tell by the white power light on the power brick. It then started my xbox1 for about a minute then powered down. When I powered on again update starts. Good luck.
