A little confused by the new Power Options. I have my Xbox One set to Instant On. With Instant On should I be powering off the Xbox when I am done or just leave it to power down in the 1-hour setting? I use the voice command Xbox Off and select off.

Silly question I guess but it confusing.

    :)

Hi since I got my new X1 console I have had it set to instant on,would it be better to just turn off the console when not in use, as I was kinda thinking this would close everything down correctly

I now changed my options to shut down as I only play at night after work, I also think a fresh boot up will be better

    A/V power options

Do you have an original Xbox One, or a Xbox One S/X? If you have the original Xbox One (not the S or X) you will need to have Kinect in order to have the Xbox control your A/V equipment.

If you do have Kinect and/or a Xbox One S/X, make sure that the IR Blaster on the Kinect and the console aren't obstructed, and that the IR light can hit your equipment. If you have a home theater with dark walls, it might be that the IR signal can't be
reflected off the walls towards the A/V equipment.

And finally: The TV needs to be able to be controlled via Infrared remote controls. If you have a very modern TV with a Bluetooth remote, the Xbox can't control that. It has to be Infrared controlled.
