Power on Xbox One S controller without turning system on?

Does anyone know if there is a way to power on the new controller in Bluetooth mode? For instance, say you want to use the controller on a PC, if you press the power button, it's going to turn on the Xbox One and not just the controller.

Is there a way to hold down a certain button and turn it on in Bluetooth mode without it also turning on the system?

MY Xbox 360 is being controlled by someone else!

Out of curiosity does it do it without the controller turned off? Just turning on the Xbox via the power button instead of the controller.

Stupid Newbie Question

I'm a newbie with a stupid question. On the Xbox One S how do you exit games back to dashboard without turning off console. There has to be a button combination to push on the controller. Please Help

Unfortunately no. It was designed to turn the console on when you press the button but maybe if you go out of range of the console the controller will turn on without turning the console on. It will probably just blink though because there is no connection
to the console. Hope this helps

Was there any kind of booklet that came with the console? Usually there is and it tells you the different mode and operations on how to use it.

Unfortunately no. It was designed to turn the console on when you press the button but maybe if you go out of range of the console the controller will turn on without turning the console on. It will probably just blink though because there is no connection

Unplugging the device and waiting for a minute or so resets the system back to Energy-saving mode. You can do the same without unplugging it by going into the System->Power and startup menu.

Select Energy-saving.

Back out of the menus and

Turn the Xbox One off (either by speaking "Xbox Turn off" or doing it with the controller).

Turning it back on clears up the issues with Apps and TV. The issue is being looked at.

Power cycle your Xbox One S: Sometimes simply powering down the console can help reset the update process. To power cycle your Xbox One S, hold down the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until it fully powers down. Then, unplug the power cord from the console, wait a few minutes, and plug it back in. Turn the console back on and see if the update continues.

Clear the system cache: Clearing the system cache can help resolve issues with the console's software. To clear the system cache, turn off your Xbox One S and unplug it from the power outlet. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. When the Xbox logo appears on the screen, press and hold the sync button on the console until the logo stops flashing. This will clear the system cache and you can try to update your console again.

Use a wired connection: If you're updating your Xbox One S over Wi-Fi, try using a wired connection instead. This can sometimes help speed up the download and reduce the chance of a connection error.
