Power issue with Xbox one s

My xbox one s turns off within 2 seconds on turning on. Never happened before and did not have any type of electrical storm. Console is less than 6 months old.

Power issue with Xbox One

I have my Xbox One set to Instant-on, but sometimes the console powers down completely even tho I have it in Instant-on meaning anything I have going on like a download of a game or a game still running in background stops and I can't start a download from
SmartGlass. I have the Xbox One connected to the power socket and not a surge protector as the instructions I found on xbox.com state to do. This happens around once every 3 days to week. I have reliable power and I do not see any evidence on other devices
like my PS4, Wii U or my computers of power outages.

I have no idea if this is a hardware issue or a software issue. I do not want to send my console or power supply in for repair only to find out it's a software bug that will be fixed a later update.

Sorry to hear about the console power issue, and thank you for the detailed post! You have tried most of the suggestions we would offer in this scenario, however do you happen to have a nearby friend or family member with an Xbox One console that can let
you borrow their power supply? If you own an original Xbox One console (not an Xbox One S) with the external power supply, see if trying a separate power supply helps out! If a different power supply does help, that will narrow down the issue to your power
supply and would need to be replaced.

If that doesn't work, or if you own an Xbox One S, your Xbox One console may need to be repaired. To begin that process, please head over to our
Online Service Center.

Hey there! Have you tried a different power outlet or a different power cable? If so and it's still happening you might need contact support and set up a repair.

Once your console is completely off, unplug the console from the power source and give it 30 seconds.

Then, plug all the cords back in and turn on your console.

Try installing the game again

I would say that you really need a service for the console. Might be mainboard issues or something like that.

Sorry too hear about the issue. Yes the reason you keep seeing/hearing those same steps is because those are the oppions too you. I service shouldnt cost more then the console.
