power cycle turning on

    when i was trying to powercycle my xbox one it turn on half through the powercycle is a problem?

    Home screen blacking out and xbox freezing

    Power cycle it, as per the steps here:

    support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console

    Note this is not the same as simply turning it off, as that can put it in Instant On.

    power cycle turning on

    when I had this problem I was on the internet so tonight I took my xbox one off line to see if I have any problems I have talk to xbox support about this . normaly when power cycle my xbox one console I press the buttom on the front of the console for 10
    seconds then wait for 30 seconds then press the buttom on my xbox one to turn on .

    Cortana not installed?

    Try power cycling your console, and try activating Cortana again. To power cycle, press & hold the power button on console until it turns off. Then turn back on.

    Try doing a power cycle of the console, then try downloading the game again. To power cycle press and hold the power button Xbox until the console turns off, then wait a few seconds and turn back on.

    If I'm not mistaken a power cycle shuts the console off completely and then cycles the power back on, this causes basically the effect of a hard restart. A full shutdown of the console just turns it off all the way with out it coming back on or being automatically
    turned on, from there unlike with a power cycle... you'd typically need to manually turn the console back on.
