    Power button flashing n wont completely turn on or shut off.its been happening more often.this is a waste of time asking for assistance from automated garbage.500$ console and monthly xbox live services i pay for but i cant talk to a real person.all the
    warnings about scammers on this page when it seems like Microsoft is the one screwing me currently.if anyone actually has a response from Microsoft im not waiting up all night to sort this out.Thank you for wasting my time and i hope you have a wonderful day.Also
    its not the community who should be answering questions assisting angry and confused customers like me.

    Hello Alfred,

    Thanks for the reply. If the surge protector is not putting out the recommended power it can cause the Xbox to do all different kinds of things. Personally i plug all my consoles directly into a wall outlet. All consoles have their own surge protector, Xbox
    one original have it in the power brick Xbox one S and X have it inside the console. Try plugging into wall and see if it does it.

    usually happens when there is an update happening, updates happen more regular if you are in the preview program.

    I appreciate the reply and information about the problem with my console.should i have it plugged into a surge protecter?also would it automatically shut off if it wasn't getting consistent or the amount of power needed?

    Downloading several hours after?id really like to know what it downloaded and what is this preview program?i was reading something about peer to peer downloads that Microsoft is or was planning?if so how does that factor into my Internet bill considering
    i would be paying for it?

    are you connected to the main wall or an extension lead? using an extension lead can limit the supplied power to the console. it is advised to have the console plugged directly to the wall to make sure it gets the full amount it needs.

    when you are given the virtual assistant you can ask to speak to a person and it will put you through to one.
