Power button activates on its own...

So I have a bizarre problem going on.

The power button on my Xbox ones (I have two, my wife and I play together) pushes itself. Sometimes it occurs 20-30 minutes after a power on, sometimes it shuts down while they are still powering on. Tried separate fuses and different locations in our apartment,
and they are not on surge protectors. The power bricks do not blink, they are either solid white or solid orange. When it powers off on its own, the brick switches to orange, then white, then back to orange again, no actual patterned blinking. It makes
the power off sound when this happens as well. I have left the power bricks unplugged for multiple hours, and that usually resolved the problem for a few hours. Also, I found that running low heat from a heat gun or a hair dryer over the power button also
temporarily resolves the problem for multiple hours. It should also be noted that we used to have Xbox 360s with the capacitive touch button as well, and this happened to those too after about a year of use. There is plenty of ventilation and the xboxes are
off the floor and protected from casual presses. Have ensured the buttons are clean from finger prints and other dirt as well.

Is there a way to resolve this by reducing the sensitivity of the power button or is there something else going on that I don't know about?

ive got 2 guitara and 2 question

ive got the standard guitar and its got the normal 5 coloured buttons but also got 5 flat coloured bits, what are they for ?

also got the les paul guitar and its annoying having to tilt it to get star power as 8/10 times we will miss a note or 2 when trying to activate star power

the old guitar has a star power button to do this though

Xbox360 slim keeps turning itself off

Hi, try giving the buttons on the console a wipe over with a soft dry cloth, sometimes dirty fingerprints can activate the touch sensitive buttons. Do you see any lights flashing in the power button when the console turns off at all?

I would suggest calling Xbox support. It sounds more like a mechanical problem.

i tried to do as you said. when i hold the eject button and the pair button, i press the power button on front. i don't hear an audible tone. the xbox turns off and doesn't power on its own.

Hello Georges, thanks for quick reply. Unfortunately, it did not work. What I did:

-Turn off the console and unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely turned off. Wait 30 seconds and plug the power cord back in.

- Hold down the BIND and EJECT buttons and press the Xbox button on the console.

- Xbox button lights up (white) and chime can be heard.

- kept holding down bind+eject for 15 sec

- did not hear any tone of "activation. What does it sound like?

Also, if I switch on a remote controller, its Xbox button keeps flashing.

And, if I turn on the console by pressing the Xbox button, nothing happens and the console switches off on its own after maybe 20-30 sec.

I might have explained myself incorrectly. The console powers on on its own (I don't push the button for ejecting the tray), and it then closes the tray on its own too. I guess the mechanism of the tray is being triggered someway (and randomly).
