Power Arcing Sound Xbox One X Power Cable

Hello, If this is an XBOX 1 type of power lead, and it is just a "figure of eight" shaped lead, with an orientation groove, these are widely available to replace the original. I see them on EBAY for $12 or so, but most local game shops should have them.

It is a common problem for power leads to make "arcing sounds" when INITIALLY plugged in (i.e. just one time as the power kicks in - power supplied have very reactive "loads", i.e. inductors and capacitors - so this sparking is common when plugging in).

HOWEVER: it should NOT happen all the time, and if it does, it suggests a bad lead (female internal contacts are commonly arc-burned because of not being pushed firmly home - and those "figure-8" female types are especially bad).

It CAN of course, still be the male connector pins in the XBOX unit, and as others have said, get it checked for pitted or burnt power pins. the power sockets ARE replaceable, by authorised dealers/repairers.

Clear your laptop's cache and if it does not work, install the game again.

First and most important, if you can hear electricity arcing, immediately unplug the console and do not turn it back on. This isn't normal and you do not want to risk starting a fire. I would advise you immediately reach out to MS Tech Support as this
is something they will definitely need to look at and fix.
