    Potential Issues with HDMI port


    Hi Everyone,

    Just went to turn my xbox one on this morning and the HDMI lead is not registering on my TV. The xbox turns on as normal but the signal is not being picked up by my TV, so far I have done the following with no success

    - Held down the main button for 10 seconds to reboot the system

    - Unplugged the console completely and left it for 10 minutes

    - Cleaned the HDMI port

    - Tried 3 different HDMI leads, that all work with other devices such as Amazon Firestick / Blu-ray Player etc

    - Tried connecting it to different HDMI ports on the TV

    - Tried connecting it to a different TV using the same and different HDMI leads

    - Tried connecting it to a computer monitor using the same and different HDMI leads

    From what I've googled so far it looks like the problem might be a faulty HDMI port, any suggestions on how and where to get this repaired (as I don't really want to buy a new one with the series x coming out later this year. But I'm wondering is the cost
    of buying a 2nd hand xbox one cheaper than getting it repaired?

    oh no im sorry to hear this your xbox one since it is from 2013 may certaintly be running into issues here due to how old it is but you can probably get it repaired or it may be time to upgrade to a One S or One X or save for a Series X when that launches holiday

    Sorry to hear this. Seems like it has come to the end of it's life.

    I hope it has given you many joyful hours of gaming.

    If you would like it to be repaired, I suggest you look on social media for groups that talk about repairs and where you could get recommendations on where to repair it successfully

    Yeah, tried 3 different HDMI leads in all the 3 HDMI ports on both TV's and none of them picked up the xbox signal, the leads and ports worked fine with other devices like a blu-ray player, satellite box and Amazon Firestick.

    Yeah, thats what I thought. still it did well over the 7 years compared to having to send back 3 xbox 360s over the years.

    Now its weighing up the cost of a potential repair vs the cost of getting a 2nd hand one to see me through to the series x later in the year
