POTENTIAL FIX Games and Apps will not update or install

It's been a week or so since the outage on Xbox. Since the console was updated to fix said outage issues, I am unable to download games as well as update them. When games I already had downloaded needed an update they would stay in the queue showing no percentage or estimated time of when it would finish. Then it would say "Installation stopped" and then go back to "Installing" with no actual installation happening. Eventually, the games that require updates delete themselves, and I am unable to reinstall them.

I have tried everything from resets to clearing local cache, removing and re-adding my profile, etc. Eventually, after a few days of trying everything I could and scouring every Reddit post and Xbox support page, I did a factory reset. Unfortunately, I am still unable to download anything. I don't know if it's Xbox servers or if it is something wrong on my end.

If you have any advice, It would be greatly appreciated.

I fixed my issue and what I did is below!

Edit: If you can't download or update games or apps on your console and you have tried

1. Clearing local cache
   
2. Power Cycle
   
3. Hard reset
   
4. Factory reset(s)
   
   And nothing has worked, try this
   

First, go to your Xbox's Network Settings.

Do all of the basic tests. For example; "Test Nat Type", "Test network connection", and most IMPORTANTLY test your "Network Speed & Statistics."

If it says everything is working like it should keep that in mind.

After running a test on your Network Speed and Statistics, check and see what the download speed is supposed to be.

For example; the Download Speed- is 233.01 Mbps



Now, Try to download a game.

If you don't see the download speed in your queue (mine is in the top right corner of the game that is queued) or if it is running way slower than your network settings are saying it should (For example, network speed and statistics say it should be running up to 233.01 Mbps, but in the queue, it is barely breaking 20 kbps)

We have to do a test to see if the wifi is potentially the issue

So, to do that try one or both of these things

Connect your Xbox to a mobile hotspot (Don't worry if you don't have unlimited data on it, it will be for only a few minutes)

Or, Connect your Xbox to your router/modem via an ethernet cable

After you have connected to your ethernet or mobile hotspot, try to download a game or app again.

If it's downloading or updating things like normal, CONGRATS IT'S NOT YOUR XBOX MALFUNCTIONING!!!

if you have a mobile hotspot connected (and it doesn't have unlimited data) go ahead and cancel the download and disconnect your Xbox from it so you don't have a huge phone bill to pay.

If you have an ethernet cable plugged directly into the Xbox and the downloads are working as normal, you can choose to finish your downloads/updates or cancel them and get your wifi set back up.

These are temporary fixes.

If you don't want to have to connect to a hotspot or the ethernet every single time you need an update or want to download something, you have you call your internet or wifi service provider. They can troubleshoot to see if they can fix your router, or you will have to replace your router.

The wifi is corrupted in some way when it comes to your console specifically from what I gather.

And I believe that an Xbox bug is what potentially triggers it to stop exchanging information between the wifi and Xbox.
