    Posts Disappearing


    I have tried to post on three different occasions, trying to find an answer to a problem I've been having with my Xbox, and the posts keep disappearing. Can someone tell me why this is?

    Its because you are trying to self repair your console, it violates the code of conduct.

    My warranty has expired. Not like Microsoft could do anything for me even if I wanted to send it to them.

    Microsoft will fix it but it will cost you money.

    Providing you haven`t opened up the console yourself.

    I have already opened it to clean out the cooling fan for the CPU (because there is no way in the world I would pay for them to do something I can do effectively and safely for free) I know they will fix it for a cost, but I don't do that kind of thing.

    Thanks for trying to help, I know its not your fault that you really can't. But as I said I didn't know I couldn't ask tech questions here which I will remember in the future.

    I guess I should expect from Microsoft that all they can provide is "Send it to us so you can pay for what you could look up and do for free."

    Opening your console can result in a permanent ban.

    There isn`t a company in the world that fix an item for free once the warranty has expired.

    Microsoft will not touch any console that has been opened.

    Clk0818, MS does not allow Self-repair because you Connect to
    their Service, Xbox LIVE. If you never plan on Connecting with XBL again, turn it into a toaster.

    Because you have to connect to THEIR service, they will always have a finger of control over you and your actions. Your console isn't really
    YOURS. You can buy it, but your freedom to do with it as you please is limited. Isn't that fun? Same with games. You don't really OWN the game. You own a limited right to play it. It's not like the good
    old days where your console and game were actually yours to do with as you pleased.
