Post September update issues

On August the 30th I purchased Metro: Redux and went home to install it. Upon plugging my One up and doing the system update I noticed that Metro(And all of my other games) would not install or play. Today I noted that Netflix, Blu-ray app, and even playing
my digital download Wolfenstein would not function. I have had my One for four months with no problems prior to the update and have been around the net looking for fixes with no luck. Many hard restarts later, I find myself here. Any insight on the issues
would be vastly appreciated.

It does seem to have fixed the issues caused by the September update.

 

Can I play WAV files from an external USB drive?

Major Nelson listed all the formats available in his blog post about this. WAV is listed.

It's awesome to know that I'm not alone with this. Ever since the September update, I've had the same problem; the only thing that works is YouTube, and even then I have to start the app in offline mode for some reason.

And Destiny is coming out soon! Worst time for my Xbox to start screwimg up...

Sorry to hear about the update issue. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

• First select Notifications at the left of your Home Screen.
• Check to see if there are any notifications about low or unavailable hard drive space.
  
• If there is a notification about low drive space, you will need to delete something to free up space.
  
• If there are no notifications, Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
  
• Once your console powers off, unplug the power cord.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• Power on your console and check to see if you are able to play/install a game or app.
  

Give the suggested steps a try and let us know if you are still unable to play/install games or apps.

 

Thanks for the reply. I didn't see any notifications (I do have 280 GB Left) and unfortunately, holding the power button for ten seconds and unplugging the power cord did not work.

 

I am having the same issue here, literally nothing works and dashboard is unresponsive and dashboard freezes, I resorted to factory resetting my console it worked for a couple days then I reinstalled metro and samething-i factory reset it once again and
ive been playing but still It get buggy and my xbox will freeze sometimes, idk what happened but the sept update and metro mustve did something to my box, all I can do is wait for another update now hopefully microsoft is aware of this issue and fixes it asap
because I dont want to have to factory reset my box, I factpry reset it today but im not going to install metro this time and see what happens-hopefully this helps, even resorted to deleting my cloud saves I think it corrupted my saves also because the second
time I hard reseted it reinstalled my saves and my xbox started glitching out again. Hopefully it works all the way till next tuesday of it does ill buy destiny if not ill have to see about repair.

 

There is a patch being rolled out at the moment which fixes issues with live TV stuttering and Metro Redux installation issues. This should fix your problems.

After the patch the OS version is 6.2.11511.0 (xb_rel_1409.140829-1829)

If not having the patch already installed you may check for it at settings / system and install it manually.

 

After the September update my controller is disconnecting randomly!
