Post october update noise

I just tried leaving mine on for 20mins or so and the noise is still there. I spoke to support again and they will replacement Xbox for a new one

This is what they said about it all

Matthew: ok, what if the problem isnt just my xbox, iv seen on the net lots of people are having the same proble since the Oct update went live.

Philip: Oh, with regards to the update, it has not been released yet.

Matthew: my worry is i send you mine and get a new one back juts to update it when i plug it in and the noise starts again

Matthew: the update that adds the friends list on the right, i have it on mine

Philip: No worries, it will have the latest system update so that you will not to do it anymore on your end.

Philip: And I assure you that you will not have any other experience aside from having fun with your Xbox One console.

Matthew: right ok, its just strange that it was so quiet and now its so loud that you have to crank up the tv to not here the xbox, my 360 is quieter lol. it all started sunday after the update had been on it for abit

Philip: I see. I will make note of that as well so that our Service Center will be notified as well.

Philip: And thank you for providing that information.

Philip: But now, rest assured that you will not encounter anymore issues when you receive your Xbox One console.

Matthew: no problem, im not the only one its all over the forums

Just thought I would let you know I've sent my Xbox one off today and when I get the new one back I will update here with what it's like.

 

how long you got to wait ?. I thought they give you a new one when they collected yours

For those that are experiencing this, can you please post up a video of what you are hearing? Please make sure it is your own recording so that we have an accurate take on what you're running into. Once I have that, we can take it from there. We appreciate
your assistance in narrowing this down for you.

 

i will try to get a better video later but as the camera approaches the xbox it can clearly be heard, but you can here it sat on the settee 8ft away. as i said after 20 min or so it stops, its like something is accessing the disc constantly

 

this next video (minus the villa gnome this time) starts when the xbox had finally gone quiet I then restart it and the noise starts again and lasts around 20 min before going quiet again

 

if you watch video until the end then click back to the start you can really tell the difference

 

That last recording is the same sound mine is making but mine would never stopped,

tried playing Destiny before I sent it off and I had to stop as it was just doing my head in and I had to have the TV quite loud to drown most of it out.

Support said they will send me a know one once they have mine. Just looked at tracking and it should get there for Monday so that's good. Im in the UK by the way and its off to Germany.

I have kept the conversation as an email saying I will get an out of the box new one and I will check the numbers etc on it to make sure!

Will let you know what happens when I get one back. Fingers crossed its nice and quiet!!

 

have never had these sounds before or after update on 3 different xbox ones

 

on 3 xboxes after update.. it definately the update then

 

I have the same issue I believe the update has caused an error which has resulted in a buzzing and fan noise increase.

 

Im part of the update program, had another update yesturday but the noise is still there do microsoft even no of this problem

 

Hey there, DimaK67! Thanks so much for those videos. That doesn't sound like the same console noise that I was investigating prior to the October update. Because you are in the preview program, you will want to post what you're running into and the videos
you've provided me in the
Update Preview Forums. That will be the best place to get you assistance since the Preview Team runs those forums.

If anyone else is having the console buzzing noise after the October update, please provide us with a video of your own console so that we can listen to what you're running into. Once we have that, we can start from there.

 

same problem with blu ray noise... started before october update... installing titanfall and the blu ray started make this noise..
