Post Mojang to Microsoft Minecraft account migration, do I need to purchase the windows...

That’s odd because if this is the Minecraft for Windows it will be purchased through Microsoft Store. The Minecraft that can be purchased through Mojang is Minecraft Java Edition.

Kindly make sure that you’re signed in under the account where the Mojang account was migrated. Please try other Microsoft accounts as well.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox Communities Forum. In early 2021, Mojang started the process of migrating Mojang accounts to Microsoft accounts. This was done as Microsoft's account system is more secure, and to make it easier to sign in.

This migration period ended on September 19, 2023. To ensure all your Minecraft account data transfered to your Microsoft account, you had to migrate your account before this date. However, players were given another chance to transfer their Minecraft license to a Microsoft account via the post-migration process.

The post-migration ended on December 18, 2023, and it is no longer possible to sign in with a Mojang account or migrate to a Microsoft account. If you did not migrate your Mojang account to a Microsoft account before December 18, 2023, I'm afraid you will need to purchase Minecraft again using your Microsoft account. I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.

I apologize but migrating your Mojang account to Microsoft account will not give us free Minecraft for Windows. If you migrate your Mojang account to a Microsoft account that has been used to play Bedrock (on any platform), then yes—you'll be able to access both games with that account. This is if you already purchased the Game on your Microsoft account, if not, you need to purchase the game.

When you say that you've "Migrated it" are you referring to migrating your Mojang account to a Microsoft account? Do you own Minecraft for Windows? If not, you will have to purchase Minecraft for Windows as Minecraft is not an Xbox Play Anywhere title. Currently, purchasing Minecraft for a console does not grant access to Minecraft on Windows and vice versa. If you are currently subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, you will have access to Minecraft through the Xbox app on PC.

I would recommend to wait until the summer, as there's an offer coming that will give you access to both editions without purchasing the other edition
