Post Lighting Storm Xbox Now Just Turns On For About 10 Seconds And Then Turns Off

So I've had this Xbox One for a while, pretty sure first generation. I've had no issues with it whatsoever. I live in Florida and today like every other day we had a pretty agressive thunderstorm. I had lighting hit something pretty close to my apartment
which shut off my internet modem causing it to restart. Normally something like that will shut all my power off for a second but this just restarted my Spectrum modem.

Didn't think it was a big deal until weirdly enough none of my ethernet connections on my modem work anymore. At that same time I tried my Xbox only to discover it would turn on for 10 seconds and then turn off.

I have no idea if these two things are related, but I would very much appreciate any help.

I've tried everything, unplugging for minutes, power cycling, switching outlets, putting it on it's side, no hdmi cable, plugged directly into the wall, plugged into a power strip. I saw people having success with a hair dryer to blow out some of the dust,
I even tried that. Everything has given me the same result.

Any advice hear would be greatly appreciated.

if there was a surge through the router and all the lan ports are now not working it most likely affected the xbox especially if it was in instant on mode and trying to download an update. it may need to go for repair.

i usually have my kit connected to a surge protected strip along with ethernet protection built in too.

I had this same problem tonight. There was a major outage in the south east of the United States and a few other minor outages. It only effected some accounts, but not all of them. What i did to get the problem resolved was to hard reset my Xbox, and internet,
and then I just kept trying until it worked. It took me about 25-30 minutes before it was working for me. This is also a rare occurrence and does not happen often. If your problem is not resolved tonight, the hopefully Microsoft will have the problem fixed

I don't believe it was on instant on mode. I do keep my block plugged into a power strip opposed to directly into the wall.

Would replacing the power block help?

well i did leave it plugged in when the console was off then the light turned off after about 10 seconds from shutting the console off

Same issue I find a fix it just needs a reset. Hold your finger on the power light slash switch slash button or whatever for about 10 seconds until it turns completely off then wait 3 seconds or so then turn it back on and it should work.
