Possible WiFi Board Problem

So about 6 months ago I noticed that my Xbox One Controllers would randomly disconnect and after some troubleshooting and using my friend's controller that I knew worked fine, I came to the conclusion that it was my Xbox itself. I now use a USB to Micro-USB
cord and don't have any problems at all with the controllers. I really hadn't played much for the past 6 months but have recently tried playing online and accessing the store and the Xbox struggles severely it doesn't disconnect from Xbox Live but it just
sits there and loads for a very longtime then usually pops up with one of the error codes that says that it can't access the store because of lack of internet but my internet works great on my computer/phone/360 so it is not the internet. I checked the detailed
network diagnosis and my wireless strength is at 62% so I know that I could have it closer but it is still able to pick up a connection fine. The reason why I am posting is that I think that this would be the issue of the Wi-Fi Board on the Xbox and just wanted
to make sure, since my Xbox is now not under warranty anymore, because I got it back in 2013, I figure it will be cheaper to just buy the board online and swap the part myself then have to buy a new one or get an Xbox from Microsoft for a fee.

Xbox one controller disconnecting issue

I've left the insiders programme and reset the xbox, no difference at all.

Would replacing the WiFi board be a possible fix?

 

I have read a lot of "fix it" and "do it yourself" links around the net about the issue you are describing yet none of these links warns you that once you break the warranty seal of the console, your warranty is null and void.

I suggest you that if you have already checked the troubleshooting steps described here:

you should send the console for repairs. To register your console and file for repairs check this link:

I know that it will void the warranty if I do swap the WiFi board myself. I already have a set of Torx bits from when one of my 360s was having disc drive issues that I fixed and also where I took apart my friends 360 controller and custom painted it for
him. I am not worried about voiding the warranty because if somehow I do break this Xbox One I can just buy a new one. I just wanted to make sure that my problem was the WiFi board.
