Possible way to change gamertag without fee due to an accident.

Hello, Hope you are doing well. My Son had a friend come over and they played on the xbox for a while but while my son was away to go walk our dog i think he said his friend changed his username to something he didnt want. It was his friends clans name or something he told me. Is there a possible way he could change this? I do not want to pay 10 dollars for him to change it though because of a mistake. Is there any possible way to change it without the fee. If not I understand. Thank you for your time.

My Gamertag was changed by accident by a friend. Any possibility to get it changed back, without paying 9,99?

Sounds like your friend owes you 10 bucks.

Thank you for your post .I understand you are experiencing an issue with you with a recent gamertag change. If you selected a gamertag but accidentally accepted the changes without verifying your change, you must pay the gamertag change fee to correct it.
Unfortunately, there is no way to edit a gamertag without paying for a change.

Upon creation of an Xbox account, you are assigned a randomly generated
Gamertag which you are allowed to change once for free. Afterwards, any Gamertag change will come with a fee in this case the 10 Euros. It could be that the one time change was done accidently, resulting in the fee showing upon on your end.

Without a doubt that gamertag would be flagged as offensive, You won't be able to get it back and to change your current assigned gamertag you would need to pay $10, Theres no way around the gamertag change fee after a forced gamertag change.
