    Possible to program Uverse black remote for XBOX One media control?


    Hi all,

    I haven't had much luck in other forums so I thought I would try this one. Has anyone with AT&T Uverse programmed the Uverse black remote to be able to control the XBOX One? I'm not as interested in turning it off an on with the remote, but rather controlling
    the media functions in Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. The XBOX One media remote for sale looks nice, but really I'd rather just have one remote for simplicity- my AT&T Uverse remote. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Just so we're on the same page, when you mention the Xbox One remote control, are you referring to the

    Media Remote     or the Xbox One
    controller    ?

    If this is in regards to the media remote, let's try out our

    troubleshooter     when you get a chance. In addition to that guide we recommend reaching out to the monitors
    manufacturer to explore some possible options & for some more insight regarding the compatibility between your monitor & the Xbox One remote control.

    I too would love to have this information. I will continue searching for a code or some workaround but have came up empty thus far.

    My Uverse remote will not control my Denon AVR-2112ci volume

    Unfortunately there is nothing blocking it. My Uverse remote will control the XBox volume but not receiver. The following is a link to a similar situation: www.avsforum.com/.../xbox-one-snap-tv-game-volume-control-issues

    Smart Glass and all of my other remotes control the receiver volume without issue. The only thing I can think of is a bad remote code but I cannot find the code for my receiver to manually input to Xbox.

    At a lost and frustrated not being able to use my Uverse remote for volume.

    Unfortunately the Xbox 360 remote is not compatible with the Xbox One and at the moment the Microsoft are not planning to change this.

    Microsoft may redesign and release the Xbox One media remote similar to how they did with the Xbox 360 remote in the future but this is just speculation however I believe there are some 3rd party remotes that maybe have the use of a number pad to change
    channel such as Logitech Harmony remote range. I believe the control is designed like this to possible make people use the Kinect features more.

    Xbox One media remote & Onkyo TXSR602

    The new media remote works just like your controller. The programming is done under settings in your Xbox One. The remote uses the IR Blaster in your Kinect to control your TV, receiver and cable box. If this hasn't been set up in the Xbox One...you wont
    be able to control those items.
