possible to play 360 games without disc once installed from disc ?

so I’m installing the standalone disc for halo 3’s multiplayer that comes with halo ODST onto my xbox one and I am wondering is it possible to play xbox 360 games without the disc once installed from said disc? This is not a big problem I was just curious,
Because if it does work I would then be able to system link my old xbox360 to my xbox one to play 8 player (4 on each console) halo multiplayer

How to install a game to your Xbox 360 hard drive

You can play a game directly from the game disc without installing it to your hard drive. But you can also install it to improve load times and minimize game disc access.

Installation Process:

First, you need to insert the game disc into your disc drive. The game will start as the default option is to automatically start the game. If the game starts, you’ll have to exit the game, and get back to the Xbox Dashboard.

You need to go to Home and highlight the game you want to install with your controller.

Press X on your controller and select Install to Hard Drive.

You’ll see a progress indicator while your game is being installed to your hard drive. The installation might take up to 12 minutes.

Notes:

Your hard drive must have sufficient free disc space as installing a game requires between 4 and 8 gigabytes of free disc space.

You also need to have the game disc to start the game once you have installed it on your hard drive. But the benefits are that installing games on your hard drive minimizes game disc access and reduces load times.

You are not allowed to install Original Xbox games on your Xbox 360 hard drive.

PRE DRM reversal, that was possible.. after they scrapped that mode.. NO.. you need the DISC anytime you want to play a game that was installed using that disc... and I think to be honest.. it has to be THAT disc..

No. The only way to play without the disc is to purchase the game digitally. The disc is required to be in the console to verify you actually own the game.

No that's not possible.

Imagine the following:

You buy the disc, install the game to your console, and make it, so you don't need the disc. Then you would be able to sell the disc to the next person, who then installs the disc, unlocks the game to be played without a disc, sells the disc to someone else,
who then installs the game, sells the disc and so on.

Taken to extremes, the whole world would then play the game, and the publisher has only sold the game once to you. Every other purchase would not benefit the game maker, who spent millions of dollars to create an AAA game, and only sold one single copy of
the game.

Imagine working all your life, and then only get paid for one month.

So that's why it's not possible to make a game installed via disc available to play without a disc without paying again.

hello i have xbox 360 and where i have it i havent got internet... i have installed my games but they wont play without disc and i dont know why but i want to play them without discs...

For disc based games, the Internet connection doesn't matter.

However, if you installed the games from disc, the disc is needed as a proof of purchase. Otherwise you could install the game from disc and sell the disc to someone else.

That other person then installs the game from disc, and sells the disc again to another person.

And in the end thousands of people can play the game, from only one sold disc, if you were able to play installed games without a disc.

If you want to be able to play games without a disc and without internet, you will have to buy the games digitally, and download them on the console you wish to use without internet immediately after purchase.

Or if you downloaded the games to a different console first, you will have to do a "License Transfer", with an internet connection, and re-download your games you wish to use offline.

After the license transfer, you can use the installed download games without internet.

But for disc based games, you will always need the disc in the drive.
