    Possible to Connect Offline 360 Profile w/ Online Xbox One Profile?


    Have an offline profile on Xbox 360 that I never connected to Live and an Xbox Live account on Xbox One that I use all the time. I’m trying to figure out if there’s a way I can merge both accounts so that I can have my offline Xbox 360 profile’s gamerscore
    connect with my current Xbox One Live account’s gamerscore as well as my 360 game saves.

    Tried signing in to the 360 offline profile to log into my existing Xbox Live account, but it only gives me the option to “Join Xbox Live”. Tried entering in my current Live account info after pressing “Join Xbox Live” and all it says is “This Microsoft
    account is associated with a different Xbox Live profile. Try a different account.” The Profile & Account Settings are greyed out on this 360 offline profile (not sure if it’s because there is another account on said Xbox 360 that is connected to Xbox Live),
    so I can’t go into any of those options.

    Is there a way for me to merge my offline 360 profile with my online Xbox One Live profile AND without deleting the profile of the other person signed into Xbox Live on my 360 and all of their progress?

    It's not possible to merge accounts. You can join Live with the offline account, but you'll need a different email for that account.

    I am assuming this is what you mean.

    Back in the 360 days you were not required to have an online MS account connected to your xbox profile (it is now required with the ones).

    The 360s used to have the capability of have local only profiles that were attached to the console themselves and could not get online and play multiplayer.

    Again I am assuming this is what you are talking about.

    This does have to be done on a Xbox 360.

    The problem is not resolve totally.

    Because if you restart to use Ethernet connection on your xboxone, the bug come back and you will not able to connect your 360 profile to internet. You can play only offline with retro compatibily.

    The 360 console emulate on your Xbox one(and all his games) work online only with a wifi connection. If you use an Ethernet cable is not possible go online.

    My 360 (my real 360) use an Ethernet cable to go online, because have not wifi on my console version. But All work good. So The problem is not my profile, is a bug on The Xbox one.

    Hello,

    Sorry, it's not possible to merge an offline profile with an already created online profile. If you wanted to make your offline profile into an online profile that's certainly possible to do, but you cannot merge both of them together.

    If you want to take your offline profile online so those gamerscore stats are taken online and synced on Xbox.com then feel free to login on that offline account and press the middle button on your Xbox 360 controller and select Join Xbox LIVE. Follow through
    with the prompts and after you've entered a new e-mail you'll be given a randomly generated gamertag (which can be changed once for free within the first 30 days) and those gamerscore stats should be synced online.

    As far as the auto signing in to your offline account, follow the instructions that Thunder NL gave you.

    @JoeJo - Offline accounts cannot connect to Xbox LIVE, they are local profiles. I'm not understanding how that's a "glitch", that's how it's meant to be. You'd need to follow the same instructions given to the original poster if you wish to take that specific
    offline profile online.

    The 360s had what were called offline profiles.

    These are profiles that do not require a MS account these were only available on the 360 on the One they require xbox profiles with MS accounts.

    If you never got with the 360 and never set your 360 profile up with a MS account then here is a support article that will instruct you in how to turn the offline profile into an online profile.
