    Possible issue after streaming. Xbox not working right


    So last night I was streaming a little MW on my phone. When I first started the app and selected console streaming it took a long time then a message about we can not connect to your Xbox at this time try again. So I try again still took awhile then started. While i was streaming my connection would keep dropping and the lag was horrible. So I stopped for the night. Shut down the xbox. This morning when I started the Xbox I accidentally hit the eject button was trying to sync controller back to Xbox. Well first the Xbox is supposed to start and go to TV. It didn't do that. Also the ejected disc didn't get pulled back in like it is supposed to. I select one guide and it will not start. Tried a couple of times same message. So I restart the Xbox and it works fine after restart. I did fill out a bug report. I should have done it before the restart but i don't think any apps would have worked and i don't remember the error code. Has this happen to anyone else after streaming?

    More than likely this is due to rights issues. Xbox does not own the rights to Sesame Street or it's characters. It's possible that those rights were rescinded which means that no one will be able to stream the content anymore.

    Alright, I spoke too soon. After the update, it seems I have to actually reinstall the Xbox app to get any game play visible. If not, I don't get the spaceship launching.

    And now I can't see the 720p image streaming from my console. I could the last time I tried.

    So:

    • 720p is possible, but due to unknown issues it stops working.
    • Both console streaming and xCloud stops showing anything, like the launch spaceship.
    Very weird!

    EDIT: To add to this, I can get it working doing the following steps.

    1. (Uninstall the Xbox app on Win11.)
    2. Install Xbox app again ("winget install Xbox", very nice!)
    3. Start to stream from my console on my Android phone
    4. Exit the stream
    5. Start the Xbox app on Windows
    6. Start streaming from the console
    7. ???
    8. Profit.
    I don't know why this works, but it does.

    If I close the stream and open it again, I only get a black screen and have to start from the top of the list above.

    This is on a Surface Laptop Studio. I'd hope that Microsoft products would work together just fine...

    EDIT: It turns out that reinstalling is unnecessary, I just need to run "winget install Xbox" right after I have started a stream on Android.
