Possible gamertag change

Ok so I've had the name Blest in mutiple ways on xbox/mixer/twitch/ps4/ps3 and steam. Now I've always wondered why I couldn't just have the name Blest on xbox. I find out that the account has never been played and has zero gamer score since the beginning
that xbox360 has come out. I would like to get rights to the name if possible and have my account name changed to that.

It's not possible to delete gamertags. If you wanted to change the gamertag two times you would need to pay 1,600 Microsoft Points (800 Microsoft Points for each gamertag change). So first you'd change the gamertag of SrTommy to something else, and then
you'd be able to change SrTommy1981 to SrTommy. It's not possible to do this without paying as gamertags cannot be deleted.

Yes, changing the gamertag again should be possible, als changing back to your previous Gamertag is possible, as long as your original Gamertag isn't already taken by somebody else.

Keep in mind each change will require a payment.

Gamertags are used with different services throughout Microsoft. It may still be active elsewhere.

 

If the owner of the account doesn't sign in for 5 years, the gamertag will be released. There's no way to request a gamertag.
