    Possible fix for update error!


    I too had the same update problem. This is how I fixed mine. Once the error message appeared, I chose the stay offline option. I went to settings > network settings, go online. I then went to system settings and chose the update button that was there.
    It then took me to a loading screen and said it was an error and no update is required, and I was able to use my xbox again, as normal.

    That's crazy bc mine says xbox service issues..I did what you said til update since i don't have that offer and I selected go online and it sent me back to my connection is all good but there are some xbox service issues.

    Are you connected XBL?

    because I had reset my console power cable to restart



    Disconnect and reconnect your console's power cable

    1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button
      on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.
      Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
    3. Plug the console power cable back in.
    4. Press the Xbox button
      on your console to turn on the Xbox One.
