Possible Counterfeit controller?

When i first got this controller around 11/23/13 it was working fine, by 1/1/14 the LB and Left analog stick had broke and about 2 weeks ago, the controller refuses to charge the battery, and refuses to turn on when using non-rechargable

Counterfeit Controller

this issue relates to ticket number - 1170459718. I am disgusted how much time I spent on that chat support over this , I have pleaded for your help and you have decided Im not important enough to help. ITS DISGRACEFUL.

you are essentially condoning piracy of your own goods and seem unphased I have one in my possession. I PLEADED WITH YOUR HELP IN PURSUING THE SELLER , and all you did was agree in customer service it looks fake compared to the original controller but you would
not give me a letter to back this up so I can get a refund from paypal. I also provided you with more than enoough info to investigate the seller who is selling your fake goods like hotcakes on ebay. I want compensation from somewhere, and if you were not
prepeared to help me get a refund, you should of at least offered to compensate me for disposal costs of destroying the unit, which could of been for the purchase price and I would not have needed to cancel my subscription and now look at changing over to
playstation as i feel im not a valued customer. I just can't get how you don't care I have a counterfeit xbox controller that was sold to me as a original but on investigation is fake. I also tried to call the number mentioned in the transcript from 31/1,
and it was routed back to customer service, I have wasted so much time trying to get help and attention and you DONT care. I just cant belive how arrogant you are acting as a company, when I actually wanted to help you stop this guy and you seem to condone
him which is crazy.

No, I did. I just think it's funny that they're banning people who got 'counterfeit' money in GTAV O. It's like all the money in the game is counterfeit!

 

Where did you get the controller from? Was it an official Xbox controller or a 3rd party controller (ie. Madcatz). Can you post a pic of it?

 

Got it from a place in town called Console Doctor, the sticker where the battery "says" XBOX 360 Wireless controller Microsoft corp.

If I was in your situation I would take it back to the place where you got it and inform them that It did not work. They probably wont take it back but they may replace it. If you need to get another one it is usually best to get a controller from GameStop,
Walmart, Amazon, or sometimes even eBay. You can find them for pretty cheap on eBay used. (if you don't mind used controllers)

Checking out The Console Doctor suggests that it was either refurbished or modded in some way. There is no way to get that repaired or replaced by MS if that is the case. You will need to contact the place where you purchased it in order to see if anything
can be done.
