Possible console connectivity issue.

I was wondering if it was possible that my xbox one is defective the reason is because I live in a house with another gamer and we tend to play at different intervals but I'm often online at the same time as him too, both when he is online/offline my conectivity
is always spotty at best and my console will often have extreme trouble trying to connect to xbox servers meanwhile his xbox one has little to no trouble connecting even when the signal is poor, I've made sure the xbox is very close to the router/modem and
I still have these issues, if it's just a personal connection problem that's fine but I keep suspecting my xbox one is damaged/defectuve in comparison, thanks for reading and please reply with answers/solutions if you can! P.S; sorry if this is tagged in the
wrong subject but it seemed more like a connection issue at first, not a personal console problem.

connectivity issue

The game keeps kick me out of the match to main menu in both MP modes Horde and Versus, this is happening in Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. You know how it's frustrated when you're kicked from the game you're playing for 30 mins, 1 hr or 2 hrs.. You're losing
all your progress if you are in random matchmaking or you're losing your score when you're playing with squad.

 

Recieved my New Xbox One from UPS...and can't play it lol

I too have been having the issue with controller losing connection. It happens for a few seconds then reconnects, I also have an issue with the headset, sometimes I can't be heard in chat and have to unplug then plug it back into the controller.

I still have the headset issue, but since the Feb update I have yet to encounter the controller sync issue since. I'll keep an eye on it, but was only intending to try and replace the Day One controller and possibly the headset... is swapping out the console really necessary?

 

They are fighting over ports and his is winning , and you also said "modem/router" if that is a modem AND a router (gateway) you have little chance (if any) of correcting this ....more info will help

They conflict even when one's offline? I honestly didn't know that, as for living area I live in the U.S more specifically arizona (not the best place for a healthy connection either but the problem mostly lies in how my xbox seems less likely to connect
to the wifi versus the other xbox one) the only consoles I know that are hooked up that use wifi are the two xbox one's in the house, they're both wireless and my xbox's distance is less than 17 feet away whereas the second one is well above that but I don't
have a good estimate, my isp is Century Link which is satellite (again bad but this was still an outlying problem when I was on cable as well), my NAT is open until the other xbox is turned on then it becomes Limited, I've done practically everything trobleshoot
has recomended including manually setting the DNS/ISP/Gateway and made sure my console's MaC access code/address (I think it was called) wasn't filtered by the modem, the modem is a ZyXel and the product number is : "PK5000Z", I know the setup is poor quality
for online gaming again but I want to confirm my suspicion if something's wrong with my xbox before I get back into the hassle of changing Internet providers or worse yet replacing my Xbox. ^.^'

 

*EDIT* I meant when it's just me playing it's limited and when both are on it's limited for both, don't know if this was an important detail but ya never know. ^.^

 

I don't know much about satellite setups , only that they are bad because of high ping , but to get 2 xbox ones to play well together you need a gaming router that does UPNP (almost ALL routers will claim this but very few do it well , Netgear is my choice)
it MIGHT be possible to put the ZyXel in "bridge mode" turning it into just a modem and then getting your own router , but if you have other choices of isp (other than satellite) I would look into that also...also , a wired connection is much more preferred...

 

Alright well then it sounds like it's just bad issues with the connection, I'll definitely look into setting it to Bridge mode, nabbing a router and seeing if I can move soon even to get a better isp, not a great location and satellite is only available
in the place I moved into a bit ago, definitely glad to hear it's not my xbox slowly dying either ^.^' was worried that something was internally damaged and wasn't acting up until recently.. Anyways thanks for helping my paranoid worries.
