Possible Bots?

so I've been on Xbox for some time now and yesterday and today I've gotten message from two people. Both are saying the same thing. They say the found me on their xbox app and both are female and the age of 22. They both tell me they are playing a game and
both ask my age. It's werid. I only reply once to them and they say the same thing.

Is this possible ad bots or am I just being paranoid?

The hard drives for the S and E models are interchangeable. It should work with no problems.

well i turned my 360 on yesterday and my console is banned. the 360 is not modified and i have never been suspended for any reason. however, it is only my console that is banned, and not my account. i didnt get an e-mail or anything, just the ban when i
turned the 360 on. i am the only one that uses my 360 and i dont do anything that would be grounds for a ban. anyone got any ideas?

I've seen other people reporting similar things, if you feel the person is not real or you just don't want to talk to them then it's fine to block them or just ignore them.

 

Just block them, there are an awful lot of fake accounts that are being used to get information out of you so that they can then hack your account. They have already asked your age and no doubt will be wanting to know other information.

I basically use the mentality that if someone messages me that I don't know, then just ignore them.

 

I've seen so many threads about this I'm wondering if bots are posting them! lol

Bots, what bots? Hardly anyone has got these on Xbox. Those "it's Microsoft's birthday" April Fools joke are much more common. Microsoft makes Xbox Live very secure. How many times has Microsoft shutdown all of Xbox Live in the past 6 years? none. I remember
Sony had to like shutdown PSN in something like 2012 when there was a leak. Out of the 30 million or so Xbox 360 and Xbox One users, what percentage has received bots currently? Probably like 0.001% of members. Simply report, block, mute, file a complaint,
contact the official Xbox Support and complain and rant about the persons gamertag. Don't give personal info out to people you don't really know. I have the Xbox App on my laptop and custom desktop with all the flashy specs like i7 and SSD, but my computers
are protected by AVG Internet Security which uses real time behavior monitoring. Anything suspicious and AVG deals with it. And genuine Xbox One consoles don't get viruses/malware. Genuine reports are negligible. Some people may be ok with giving their age.
But they don't know your DOB, street address, phone number.

Microsoft gives us this powerful tool. Go to your privacy settings, and change Xbox Live Communications so you can only receive messages over XBL from people on your friends list. That way if anyone sends you a message, XBL will automatically delete the
message, if the sender is not on your friends list. Followers won't be able to send messages to you either, as the XBL System can differentiate between friends and followers.
