Possible bad sectors on my hard drive?

For the past 5 months all of my xbox games are freezing during gameplay and have infinite loading screens, in 2 of my games (Apex Legends and Fortnite) the frame rate drops, then all audio cuts out then my entire
xbox freezes and i have to restart my xbox. I’ve tried everything. I’ve factory reset both ways, power cycled it, checked my internet, clear cashe and all saved data, deleted all accounts and put them back, and nothing works. I don’t know how this has happened
and I don’t know if this could be a hard drive issue, but if there are other ways to possibly fix this issue, please let me know.

    :)

    Corruped/Damaged Profile Data...

RePonjy, Microsoft never sold a 14GB hard drive for the Xbox 360. It would be interesting to find out who sold that drive.

On top of that, that's a very unusual size for a hard drive, as if it originally was larger, then reformatted with a LOT of bad sectors blocked out. With a hard drive which needs sectors blocked out, more sectors could be going
bad, which results in corrupted data, including corrupted profiles.

    Gears of Worst: Failed Edition

I'm not to sure so don't quote me on it, but if you have a bad sector/s on your hard disk I would say it's highly unlikely you would be able to install the game in the first place

as it would fail to wright to the bad sector unless the sector has been marked before hand, there for it would of been written to the next good sector, so would have no ill effect.

it could be the data once written has at some point has become corrupted at some point but again unlikely as GG has download the game more than once.

how ever if the HDD is starting to fail and it does have bad sectors which are not marked as bad sectors and data does manage to get written to them this could case a whole host of odd issue, from Very slow performance (due to trying to fetch corrupt data
from bad sectors), missing data etc.

software that repairs a bad HDD simply scans every sector of the hard disk and any Bad sectors are marked as bad so the hard drive will not write to that sector anymore.

I would say this is ok if you only have a few bad sectors but my advise would replace the drive ASAP

I still thinking a hard reset may solve GG's issue although if it does not then I would try a replacement hard drive.

if you had another drive you could connect to your xbox you could transfer the games from your suspected hdd then the drive you suspect may be faulty connect to windows PC and use the Error checking option to repair/mark any bad sectors, if there are any
windows error checking will tell you after scan disk.

Can't format the External Xbox One Hard Drive Storage to use for Windows?! PLEASE READ!!

I and numerous others previously had questions and complaints about bad sectors left on external drives after being used for Xbox One games, resulting in their costly and wasteful disposal. But even though time-consuming, sector erasure was the only perfect and correct solution to the problem.
Bad sectors are parts of the drive that have failed. These bad sectors are physically damaged, they're not damaged or 'bad' because they used to hold Xbox data.

Hard discs are mechanical, made up of disc platters with tracks and sectors and read write heads. Hard drives fail, it's not if, it's when.

There's reason why they can be referred to as 'spinning rust'

Downloaded game gives me 'disc unreadable' error

Actually, I've seen this before somewhere, I understand the concept, maybe there's a bad sector or sectors on the disc, use it up with a different game, install the game in a different section. Kind of makes sense, except for the fact that I've already downloaded
the game to the hard drive and a thumb drive and get the same results from both. So, they either both have bad sectors or, maybe even when you play from the thumb drive the saves still go to the hard drive?
