Positive Feedback to a User?

With all the issues going on with the rep system, is there any way to leave POSITIVE feedback on a user?

"I meet someone thats really cool and want to friend them and leave positive feedback"

Or is XBONE only allowing blocking and negative reporting?

Development team won't give us what we want

I do see some positive feedback, but you're always going to see more negative feedback online than positive. People are most likely to comment on something when they're unhappy than when they're not.

Dont worry.

The xbox 360 rep system is and always has been broken. I very much doubt everyone gives you feedback. most people dont give positive feedback at all so if just one person avoids you and you have zero positive feedback the system will show 100% negative.

So your feedback probably looks worse than it is.

Also the system counts no feedback as positive feedback even though it doesnt show in stats. So when someone eventually give you preferred feedback your rep could jump straight up to 5 stars.

Also you will never get banned if people avoid you.

 

Only negative ,,makes perfect sense really ....

It may have been getting abused to make cheaters and modders keep a good rep and continue to cheat..

This is a Negative Console!! We are being shafted by this avoid me issue!! They are taking our money for Live but won't allow us to matchmake, where is the sense in that???......oh I know take the money!!

Surely the system Microsoft have in place to detect false negative reports would be equally as effective in detecting false positives as well?

What I find funny is that there are 2 levels before red.

The "Avoid Me" crowd must have had some idea that this was coming?

It didn't just hit overnight.

Maybe they need to put an icon on the dashboard constantly reminding people of their rep level.

 

Playing by the rules is a positive act by default. As said above there is no way to "boost" or artifically inflate false positive Rep. If your "Friend" OP went to "Avoid Me", they need to begin playing by the rules.

 

Bird - herein lies the problem. This is my rep - i was away in Europe for the summer and my friend played on my machine while housesittiing (yes I know its wrong, so no one flame me, it was a mistake). My problem isnt the fact that rep went down, its that
it went down without ANY rep warning or stop at any of the other levels first. This is after being a green XBL member for 10 years, and as you can see, while there are a couple dings, 7 is...nothing.

From that Pic it shows exactly what was supposed to happen, ie worked as designed. Someone on that Profile sent 3 Messages that violated the ToU/ CoC and played 4 times that were not in the spirit of the Game.

So what exactly did not work?

You're telling me that you honestly believe that a user with "7" reports, consisting of 3 messages and 4 'not in the spirit of the game' which basically amount to sore losers in Destiny PVP over a 6 month span out of hundreds of hours of gameplay should
cause a Green going directly to red, with NO warning of rep drop, and no stop at any of the other levels (yellow or orange) is warranted because these few reviews are immediately considered:

"A user who routinely receives lots of negative feedback" (RED)

and not

"A user whose reputation score has fallen due to many reports of bad behavior over the course of many gaming sessions" (which is the yellow description, and I would still argue it)?

If so, I'm really at a loss - I don't want to argue, you obviously put in a lifetime of gameplay with 150k points...but come on.

And XBLPET is absolutely useless for assistance.

My only other option which I was telling others in the forums with similar issues to do is print out all your rep pages, and the dispute for arbitration form and mail it to Microsoft Legal, which I did the other day. Luckily XBLive has the arbitration clause
in the TOS, so this is a valid path to take.

When they contact me and I get to SPEAK to a human and explain all of this, I'd hope that they would be able to see my side of it and assist in at least raising my rep some so I can enjoy the service I pay for and mend my rep without being banished to red.
And if they don't, I can send the case to arbitration which microsoft would reimburse me for either way to get a final decision.

Why go through all of this?

If the service had a more user friendly PET squad, a better means of raising rep and COMMEND good players, and a more informative rep system to see what exactly you needed to do to get yourself up (and not make a mystery out of "I wonder if I'll get to orange
today, hopefully no one reports me because I played good") I wouldnt have to.

Reddit has hundreds of people getting falsely slammed in games and rep ruined.

You omitted the end of RED and are trying to change the Context. This invalidates most of what you claimed. Feel free to Post or read in it's complete context and what your claim fall apart. Don't cherry-pick to reach your needs
or conclusion.
