Porting Gamertags

There are a lot of gamertags in use for windows gaming, groove, etc. and honestly its not fair to xbox players who cant get a gamertag they want when there isnt even a acoount there. Also because its on a different PLATFORM shouldnt they be ported over or
something of the sort and get rid of accounts that arent being used. At least once a year or every two years

It really does come down to the developers and their publishers supporting it. Obviously not every game you want is going to make it on to next gen but the big sellers are all possible. A Halo 2 Anniversary is heavily rumoured and I wouldn't mind replaying
the Gears trilogy a few months before the new one releases.

Would love to have the gears series on the one ..Give it a nice boost in details ,kinda like what they did for TR..That game is beautiful on the one ..

If a person does not sign into their account for 5 years, it will be freed up for use.

As you'll see on the
Microsoft Services Agreement, "Notice that Xbox now requires that you sign in at least every 5 years to keep your gamertag active". We're afraid if you're unable to choose a specific gamertag, you'll need to select a different
one.

Your gamertag will port over once you log in the first time on the Xbox One.

Try forwarding the ports, disable and enable UPnP, recover the Gamertag, if you have a USB stick move your Gamertag to a USB and try using it from there.

Hi, probably the NAT strip type is the thing causing this issue with the Xbox 360 games (changing the gamertag maybe was a coincidence)

Please try first opening the ports required for Xbox Live in your router settings:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

Make sure to contact your Internet Service Provider for this.
