Portforwarding 3074

trying to portforward with HiltRon modem 3074 says "port range over lap". I can't get my nat type of strict. Help please!

Ya, i been there....and the portforwarding page...labeled them xbox1 and xbox2 (which i hadn't done before) apply changes...ERROR.....overlapping protocols w/ port 3074 tcp/udp. Apprecitiate the reply RC......hope all is well w/ you today!

NAT Issues With Telstra router

yes - port forwarding and VPN passthrough are both enabled as shown on the screenshot.

under port forwarding I have:

Name: Live

IP: 10.0.0.148

port: 3074

Protocol: TCP

then the same thing for severl other ports/udp/tcp as described in the portforwarding website.

for the 3074 port, try doing the port start @ 3073 and the port end trigger as 3075. Here is a link to a site that explains and lists the best ports to open in your modem/router for optimal results: Static IP Address for Xbox One

I tried this method on my xbox and it worked! My xbox has an open NAT now! (YAAAAY im so excited). Now, I will try to open one more for my sister and see if she can get hers to open NAT as well.

You will not be able to forward any additional ports, or 3074 for that matter, since the Xbox defaults to use port 3074 for Xbox traffic.

Your best choice is to try what Arminator suggested.

Configure a custome port for the Xbox (Xbox one) that shouldn't default to 3074 and create a forwarding rule for that customized port.
