I think the issue for some may be the battery clips in the controller. MY day one controller has been fine but my second controller was giving me disconnect issues. When I removed the battery cover I noticed the batteries where almost ready to fall out.
I tried putting some putty on the cover to hold the batteries in place and it seemed to help.

Im gonna try bending the tabs out a little to help hold the battery better. Same thing would happen with 360 controllers and to fix as to stretch out the springs a bit.

A portable charger to... charge the controllers? If you have a rechargeable battery pack installed, you can plug a USB cable from the controller to a portable power bank/battery to charge the controller.

If you mean a portable charger to entirely power the console (such as in a car), you would need to get a power inverter to power at least the Xbox One and a TV. I believe some people use a 400w inverter just fine, but it may depend on what kind of TV you
use.

They might as well put in a internal battery make it lighter. New xbox controllers don't last as long as they did before the sticks start wandering quick.

This battery will sit in the same place where you are putting the AA batteries right now and you then just clip the controllers existing battery cover back in place.

I have been using this play and charge kit for three years and it lasts for a really long time between charges and the supplied USB lead is nice and long.

Once you print the shipping label, stick it on the box that you are putting the controller in.

Then, take it to the nearest UPS.

They should take it from there.

Make sure not to include any other accessories with the controller, not even the batteries.
