  1. Port Forwarding With Sky Router

Hi guys i need some help please, i hope someone can help me regarding port forwarding on my sky router. First of all, i have been though all of the Guides here on Xbox.com and external guides and i have contacted my ISP, sky. I have uPnP enabled.

The problem is my sky router doesn't show up on the router list provided on the xbox self help guide here on xbox.com. When i contacted sky to find out the make/brand they told me it was just the "sky hub". They called me and tried to walk me through forwarding
the ports to the xbox servers.

I was given this list by an xbox rep yesterday, she asked me to forward to these ports on my router. (Xbox One Network Ports | Xbox Live Network Ports)

Under the "service" tab on my router, only these ports are listed of the ones on the above list,

    • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 80 (TCP)
    • Port 500 (UDP)
I am missing from the list Port 88 (UDP), Port 3074 (UDP and TCP), Port 3544 (UDP) and Port 4500 (UDP). When i try to create a custom service i am met with a menu asking for name, type, start port and finish port?

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

    :)

Port forwarding help please, Sky Home Hub.

I had a similar problem although it was with my BT Hub, you would be better off contacting Sky yourself and asking them how you can use Port Forwarding on their equipment.

Port forwarding for Xbox One is done on your router or other network hardware, not on the Xbox console itself.

Xbox Live requires the following ports to be open:

    Port 88 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 80 (TCP)

    Port 500 (UDP)

    Port 3544 (UDP)

    Port 4500 (UDP)

    Xbox Series X Network Issues

    Thanks Daniel.

I haven’t at this stage, I’m unsure why the Vodafone router requires a cable from the wan port to the open reach box but the sky router used the lan port.

I have ran a super long cable from the routers lan port directly into the Xbox and that is working, so it’s not the internet itself, it seems to be something to do with the lan/wan change from sky to Vodafone.

"Can't get an IP address" - 500$ useless brick

as above said some routers want you to allow the new device before it will let it recieve internet.

Try opening the ports required to play on xbox live.

You will have to type it in google and you should get a guide on how to do it.

    Its called port forwarding.

What isp are you with by any chance i ask because i have sky and there router is terrible to work with.

Very Slow Download Speed From Marketplace

I would go into your router as an admin and use port forward. Here are the ports

Xbox Live requires the following ports to be open:

    Port 88 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 80 (TCP)

How to set up port forwarding

You may find information how to open ports on your router at the Port Forward website. Go to the Port Forwarding Guides for Xbox Live 360 page to find instructions for your router.

If your router is not listed on the Port Forward website, contact your Internet service provider or router manufacturer for help with opening network ports.

Tip The Port Forward website is available only in English. To translate the site, copy and paste the URL (www.portforward.com) into a translation tool, such as Bing Translator.

For more help with opening network ports, contact whoever provides support for your router, such as your Internet service provider or router manufacturer.

    Live disconnects

Hi Nickp. Have you tried opening ports or checking NAT settings ect..? It does sound like a router issue. I my self have had a lot of issues in the past with Live and party and other related stuff which was all down to my ports not being forwarded, though
i am on sky not talk talk.
