  2. Unable to find a microphone for these people

yes the problem lay with the Sky hub nothing to do with the Xbox.

I removed all port forwarding rules set up previously that did work initially.

These ports still show as closed via a port checker tool but the Xbox works with no manual setup.strange!

  3. Port Forwarding With Sky Router

Hi guys i need some help please, i hope someone can help me regarding port forwarding on my sky router. First of all, i have been though all of the Guides here on Xbox.com and external guides and i have contacted my ISP, sky. I have uPnP enabled.

The problem is my sky router doesn't show up on the router list provided on the xbox self help guide here on xbox.com. When i contacted sky to find out the make/brand they told me it was just the "sky hub". They called me and tried to walk me through forwarding
the ports to the xbox servers.

I was given this list by an xbox rep yesterday, she asked me to forward to these ports on my router. (Xbox One Network Ports | Xbox Live Network Ports)

Under the "service" tab on my router, only these ports are listed of the ones on the above list,

    • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 80 (TCP)
    • Port 500 (UDP)
I am missing from the list Port 88 (UDP), Port 3074 (UDP and TCP), Port 3544 (UDP) and Port 4500 (UDP). When i try to create a custom service i am met with a menu asking for name, type, start port and finish port?

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Port forwarding help please, Sky Home Hub.

I had a similar problem although it was with my BT Hub, you would be better off contacting Sky yourself and asking them how you can use Port Forwarding on their equipment.

Port forwarding for Xbox One is done on your router or other network hardware, not on the Xbox console itself.

Xbox Live requires the following ports to be open:

    Port 88 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 80 (TCP)

    Port 500 (UDP)

    Port 3544 (UDP)

    Port 4500 (UDP)

Hi Tanya! Port Forwarding can be a dizzying experience, especially if you've never done it before, AND considering all of the different brands of routers out there! It looks like the information for adding ports to your forwarding can be found at the following
    link:

    www.skyuser.co.uk/.../167-port-forwarding-setting-up-port-forwarding-use-existing-set-up-custom-services.html

Starting in Step 5 it tells you how to add and forward additional ports not already listed in the predefined drop-down list.

And, M ahh tt's list of Port's is 100% correct. So, if you go to that link and follow the steps, then add the TCP and UDP ports listed in Matt's post, you should be set and ready for Xbox One gaming with an Open NAT!

One additional comment I would add, I would also recommend forwarding TCP/UDP ports 3075 and 3076 if you plan on playing any Activision games (Like Call of Duty, Destiny, etc.) For some reason, they require additional ports to be forwarded, and if you don't,
even though your Xbox One will say "Open NAT" in the Settings Menu, when you go into the game itself, it will tell you you have a Strict NAT until you forward those additional ports.

    Hope this helps!

Xbox one says my nats open, but games says its not.

Yeah the home hubs are terrible.

Don't bother upgrading to the latest home hub 5 as those hubs are terrible. They are not compatible with the Xbox one(or ps4 for that matter). The UPnP on them is not compatible with demonware port mapping that Activision games use and require port forwarding.
I would recommend anyone with BT to ditch the hubs and replace them with a decent compatible router.

Xbox One Port Forwarding Problem Bt Home Hub 4

The only way to get rid of that error is to factory reset the home hub.

I just had to do it because I wanted to port forward ports 3074 and 3075.
