    Hey Justin,

Here listed below is a list of the main ports used to connect to Xbox services, but you also can port forward to some for certain games,

    • Port 88 (UDP)
    • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 80 (TCP)
    • Port 500 (UDP)
    • Port 3544 (UDP)
    • Port 4500 (UDP)

    Port forwarding

    Hi,

As I understand it port 53 can't be opened because it already is.

I think you've misunderstood what port forwarding does. Port forwarding does not affect ping, at least not directly.

Opening ports helps open your router's NAT, which, in turn will help you connect to the best or nearer game servers on your console. It's these servers that have good pings, not the forwarding of ports.

Ping is the time it takes for data to be sent to a destination and be returned, measured in milliseconds.

Regardless of port forward settings, if you connect to a server 2,000 miles away, the 'ping' in milliseconds will be a lot bigger than say a connection to a server 200 miles away. But if your NAT is not open you may not be able to connect to that server
    200 miles away.

    Hope that makes sense.

Obtive o meu bloco de ASN e estou com problema de ping devido a rotas de comunicação [Edit - Transaltion] - I got my ASN block and am experiencing a ping problem due to communication routes

    Hello Click,

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. The only sort of networking information that we have to give out are

    network ports
if you need to port forward.

For high ping, take a look at this support article here : Connection Error Solution

Select the "your network latency is too high" option for steps to lower your ping. Please note that sometimes troubleshooting fails because the issue lies with the network hardware, or your Internet service provider.

    Hope this helps!

if it shows a red bar ping, there may be something to do with your nat type, you should set up the port forwarding.

    Lowering my ping?

    The latency (ping) depends on many factors as;

    1. Your ISP

    2. Cable quality (not only in your home, but from the distribution box your ISP owns)

    3. Mainly the distance between you and the servers

If your ISP is good and you have no issues with the wiring to your home, then there is not much you can do unfortunately.
