    Port for Xbox One Mic broke. Possible Solutions?


    The microphone with the Xbox One has been really iffy for me. It sort of works really when it wants to. For example, when it's in the controller, sometimes it doesn't register that ithe microphone is in there. And this isn't an isolated incident either,
    for friends of mine have reported the same thing. The temporary solution would be to turn off the controller completely or to reset your xbox entirely. Recently, however, the port of my microphone suddenly jammed up and decided that it wouldn't accept the
    microphone anymore, so I tried to forcefully put it back in, since it was in not 20 seconds ago when it was doing the problem I discussed before. Now, obviously, the port between the controller and the microphone is now loose and will not connect. If someone
    could help or at least give some advice on what to do, it would be much obliged.

    I will definitely get one of the newer versions of the Xbox controllers. Question. If I plug in my headphones into the controller, will it take control of the games volume or is it only a port for a mic?

    I would also like to get a kindle fire controller.

    And possibly Tomb Raider on the One.

    Make sure whether or not the problem is the HDMI or the xbox HDMI port. One of the cables could possibly broke. If its the xbox im sorry but there nothing you can really do except get a new one );

    Once you've disassembled your Xbox console you're repair options are over. No one here will have any recommendations for unsupported setups or information on an internal fix. You're best bet would have been to send it in for repair before you took it apart.

    The only possible solution might be to use the 3.5mm jack the mic boom plugs into now and somehow run a cord with a mic to the controller.(Similar to a cell phone cord but without the earbuds) It would stink to be wired to the controller but at least they
    wouldn't totally non-functional. Other thought might be some kind of bluetooth dongle that would plug into the controller/xbox usb port.
